Randomness - all my usual websites have logged me out... Anyone know if this is the sign of deadly hacker activity or something?
My room is SHAKING! Turned the music up so loud. I can actually feel the beat shaking the walls.
I'm tired, and I'm running out of me to give. At the moment most of my friends are going through similar - Junior Drama (demanding, but yes, ultimately rewarding) and these assessments coming up (no, I haven't revised yet)
Everyone currently wants some of my time - and to cap it off my parents are commandeering my entire Sunday to go and have lunch with a business partner of my Dad's. Well I'm sorry, but I WILL be taking my laptop and I will be working there. I simply can not spend an entire Sunday in 'leisure' (yeah, I forgot to mention, it's a 2 hour car journey both ways). The car - ah, the perfect place to do my essay (if I can find my setbook which Helen conveniently lost in T10).
Siiighh
I am trying, and I'm not really particularly upset with anyone at the moment for making unfair demands - I do understand. Still, I'm really being stretched thin - I had to cancel driving today because of Junior Drama, and they still charged my Mum for it, so she's not happy. Stupid driving people.
My whole body aches, and I'm going through that boring 'tired but not sleeping' phase. Guess its the stress...
And I haven't had time to read properly for weeks - seriously, that's what upsetting me most. I have NO leisure time, because I'm so busy that I feel I have to spend my free minutes with people I've neglected. I'm currently reading this old book of Robin Hood legends and going at a rate of about 20 pages a day if I'm lucky. That's pathetic. And stupid teachers keep setting me more and more work. Seriously, if I was also revsing I just would be up for seven hours each night studying.
The only good thing is that stress is always good for my health - I NEVER get ill when I'm under pressure. Apart from understandable headaches - thus have not encountered a single cough, sore throat or cold this entire winter. Touch wood my luck continues.
Sniff - just spent two hours on my biology and got two pages written up. This does not bode well...
Yeah - random rant there. Just as an excuse as to lack of updates here and on ff-net. I really want to work on Names, but the next chapter is a really hard one to write and finding the time and motivation is really really hard.
Oh oh, new Harry Potter fic alert!! Hermione puts it best...
'It has been revealed to me there is more purpose to this fanfic than a parody about fandom crossovers and our relationships'
The blurb: Sick of confusing crossovers, predictably unlikely relationships, OOC charactars and chronic incontinuities? Here be the fic for you. For this to truely emulate the fics we all despise, I would have to add poor spelling and vile grammer. I have decided not to, simply because they render a fic unreadable. Chapter one features an Artemis Fowl crossover. Meant with respect and love for all charactars concerned (except maybe Ron W.)
And to celebrate this monumentous occasion (lol Mooks), I have updated Names: Revelations of the Black Family, and the discovery of a new Horcrux... Never a dull day at 12 Grimwauld Place! Chapter Thirteen up! Please R&R!
Follow the link and leave me a review for the New Year!!
I have the world's most amazing friend. We've had our problems in the past, but I'm starting to feel that I can actually rely on her now, that I can actually trust her. I don't know... all my life I've held back from friendships. I've never really had a best friend before (strange, ne?), just because I've never trusted anyone enough before. I've always kept these protective walls up, just in case. I used to need those walls. And I'm guess i'm just trying to say Thank you
because a part of me still says
i don't deserve this. what did i do? why is this for me?
I'm so happy! Everything has been absolutely perfect!
Firstly, I was allowed to drive for the very first time to church, going on a B-road!! It was very scarifying but also thrilling and I didn't kill anyone!

Wow! Saw Casino Royale yesterday! It was amazing! Really, really good (although very unlike all the other Bonds) Daniel Craig was quite thuggish though. I miss Brosnan's style...
The angel came to me on the road And with the angel came no light. And he leant down and lifted my load For he said it was a miserable night.
Tthe darkness is coming,' the angel warned, 'And we need you to keep it at bay.' Around him the blinded bats swarmed, and he fled from the light of the day.
The angel had a gilded tongue, and teeth With points that gleamed by the stars. And he wore golden shackles beneath The blackened, flowing arras.
'Get back, Angel' I cried. 'To your master, return GO!' His beauty faded, and the Darkness glowed As the angel cursed that I could spurn The gift of darkness upon the road.
5 reasons why we should be allowed to write (good) slash.
1. Anyone can write charactars. It takes real literary genius to put charactars in seriously unusual positions which J.K never dreamed of, and still make it interesting/good/funny/heart rending.
2. Writing slash shows a healthy tolerance and acceptance of gay love. If we can imagine our created charactars experiencing it, we should be able to empathise with real people who do.
3. Good slash is sadly hard to find when sifting through the pages of junk out there on the web. There is seriously a shortage of actual sympathetic slash that isn't either banal, improbable or both. We must even the balance.
4. Why shouldn't Harry have feelings for guys? Assuming that just because he is a hero means he can not experience gay urges is very narrow minded. Besides, the books only write about him up to age 16. There's still plenty of scope for gay tendancies to kick in at a later age.
5. Is there actually a more popular pairing out there than Harry/Draco? Seriously. We-who-write-slash are not alone.
Slash should not be: 1. Too graphic. These are teenagers we're talking about. 2. Too improbable. Draco Malfoy is not going to polyjuice himself into a girl's body just to get Harry 3. Explained by simple lust. Slash is out of the norm. Give the charactars a motive, people! 4. Simply handed to you without reasons. Exactly why are these charactars agonising over each other? 5. Too yicky. What is the point of reading fics where Deatheaters rape little boys? Yuck. 6. Simply about the fact that two guys/ girls (if femslash) are together. Yes... and where's the story? 7. Too degrading. Treat the Harry Potter charactars with respect, you horrible lot! 8. Involving Snape and Harry together. Sorry, but they would never do that. YUCK. It just would totally lower Snape's street cred.
Thus, whilst I say I am a fan of slash, I guess in truth I am a fan of moderate tasteful slash. *surevys limited options sadly*
Yeah, I'm definately going through a depressing war stage. Anyways, here we are. It's entitled 'Our Future', which is kind of ironic because it isn't a future at all, it's an end...
